I think I understand now. You are editing the header screen (Goto->Header->Sales ?) to move data from the tabbed area to the non-tabbed area at the top of the screen. Is that right? And then when you go back to the overview screen those fields you moved disappear?
The header and overview screens are different screens. Personas lets you move fields around within a single screen, but you can't move fields from one screen to another. If you want data from the header screen to be displayed on the overview screen you need to use a script to visit the header screen, copy the data, return to the overview screen and paste into custom fields.
