Long time ago I was evaluating to see if the SAP GUI for Java can be used on Mac OS X.
Now I downloaded the latest version - SAPGUI 7.30rev4
What I noticed is that once the SAPGUI is started it forces the Macbook Pro to switch to use the discrete graphics card (Nvidia GeForce GT 650M) instead of the integrated card (Intel HD 4000).
So the questions are:
1. Does anyone has idea why SAPGUI needs such "high" graphics power of the discrete card? In this more or less simple GUI interface , I don't see need of usage of the discrete GFX card. This also consumes more battery power when used the laptop is running on batteries.
2. Does anyone has idea how to stop this switching? Answer to use the program gfxCardStatus to force integrated card only is not a solution - I want to be able to use other programs when needed which REALLY needs high GFX card power from time to time while I use the SAP GUI maybe as well. I am asking for a method to force SAP GUI for Java not to switch to discrete gfx card when started.
