Yes if you can provide some of your important code snippet part of your webrfc, woudld be great.
I feel your handling in the webfrc needs to be fixed. Yes, you might be seeing values returned when trying outside Personas, but as Steve hinted, those returned values are not handled anywhere.
With Personas+WebRfc any small mistake from abap side can make the call fail..
Please take some baby steps in finalizing your webrfc to make sure your webrfc is correctly written and returning Personas's expected values.
One more thing, when you say "desired results", you have to check both backend as well as what you are returning to Personas so that personas understands that the operation was successful and you can capture accordingly in your Personas script.
